Meet PicoQuant’s new MultiHarp 160 – a scalable multichannel event timer and TCSPC unit

Designed for applications requiring up to 64 synchronized inputs without compromises in time resolution and data throughput

During this years virtual SPIE Photonics West exhibition (March 6–11, 2021), PicoQuant will unveil its latest multichannel event timer: The MultiHarp 160, a plug-and-play time tagger and Time-Correlated Single Photon Counting (TCSPC) unit that is optimized for applications requiring up to 64 timing channels with an outstanding time resolution of 5 ps and ultra short dead time of less than 650 ps.

PicoQuant’s rapidFLIM HiRes combines ultra fast FLIM imaging with outstanding 10 ps time resolution

Users can now visualize dynamic processes in cells or tissues with unprecedented acquisition speed and time resolution

Imaging dynamic processes in tissues or cells require methods that are fast, reliable, and quantitative. Scientists and engineers at PicoQuant have developed rapidFLIM HiRes which enables imaging samples at up to 15 frames per second with a time resolution of 10 ps using Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging (FLIM). With rapidFLIM HiRes users gain access to both rapid data acquisition and high time resolution when studying fast processes such as protein interactions, FRET dynamics, ion fluxes, or even quickly moving species.

PicoQuant combines high timing precision with ultrashort dead time

New versions of the high-throughput multichannel event timer MultiHarp 150 with 10 ps digital resolution are now available

PicoQuant releases three new models of the high-throughput multichannel event timer MultiHarp 150: MultiHarp 150 4P, 8P, and 16P. The units with either 4, 8, or 16 detection channels offer improved timing precision with 10 ps minimum bin width, along with jitter better than 45 ps (root mean square). This is the best time resolution for event timers with sub-nanosecond dead time available on the market. The new MultiHarp 150 models are PicoQuant's latest benchmark TCSPC electronics for fast and high-resolution fluorescence lifetime imaging (rapidFLIM) and multichannel photon correlation.

More power and more diodes with PicoQuant’s updated laser driver Taiko PDL M1

A free firmware update enables operating existing and new laser heads at highest possible pulse energy

PicoQuant expands the capabilities of the high-end picosecond diode laser driver Taiko PDL M1. The new Max Power Mode of operation allows running existing and new laser heads with increased power. Taiko’s smart and flexible power control and monitoring enables outputting pulses with an almost perfectly constant and calibrated set of parameters (pulse energy and pulse shape) at any repetition rate. With the new Max Power Mode, the driver can operate each laser diode at the maximum pulse energy possible for any repetition rate setting.
