PicoQuant donates 3000 EUR to Das Familienhörbuch

PicoQuant has donated 3000 EUR to Das Familienhörbuch, a project creating free audio biographies for terminally ill parents with minor children. Melanie Strauch and Dr. Andreas Bülter handed over the symbolic check to Simone Ahrberg-Joung, a freelance audiobiographer for the organization.

“These donations allow us to preserve precious memories and support families during the hardest times,” said Judith Grümmer, founder and managing director of Das Familienhörbuch.

Each audio biography includes 6.5 hours of recorded content, requiring over 100 hours of work, and helps families navigate grief with a lasting legacy of their loved ones.

PicoQuant’s donation is part of its annual charity initiative, where employees nominate and select three organizations to support.

Among these initiatives, Das Familienhörbuch, KinderPaCT Berlin of Björn-Schulz-Stiftung, and Lesewelt Berlin e.V. have been nominated and selected to receive donations of 3000 EUR, 2000 EUR, and 1000 EUR, respectively, thanks to the choices made by PicoQuant employees. These contributions underscore the team's unwavering commitment to making a positive impact within the society.
