PicoQuant upgrades its multichannel event timers with flexible and powerful hardware event filters

A recent, free gateware and software update enables higher throughput and smaller data sizes for demanding applications

With the release of a free gateware and software update, PicoQuant adds a powerful, new feature to the MultiHarp 160 and 150P event timers: multifunctional on-board event filters. These user-definable filters are hardware-based and enable the filtering of events in real time. This feature is particularly aimed at demanding application scenarios that make use of information spread across several channels, such as coincidence counting in quantum sciences.

LASER World of PHOTONICS Munich

We present our latest products and we celebrate PicoQuant's 25th anniversary

At this year’s LASER World of Photonics in Munich, we will not only showcase our latest product developments, but also conclude our 25th company anniversary celebration. We are excited that we can mark this occasion with an in-person gathering at the exhibition. We invite everyone to our booth #425, hall B5 on Wednesday April 27 starting at 16:00 to raise a glass of sparkling wine.

Be sure to also drop by at PicoQuant’s booth anytime to see the latest product developments: Prima, a diode laser module that provides access to three individual wavelengths in either picosecond pulsed or continuous wave mode, the recently updated VisUV/VisIR laser modules, and the introduction of multifunctional on-board event filters for the MultiHarp 160 and MultiHarp 150P event timers.

Multimodal microscopy of halide perovskite solar cells

Our series of free webinars featuring renowned scientists continues: On April 7, 2022, Prof. Sam Stranks from the University of Cambridge (UK) shares his insights into how multimodal microscopy helps in studying and optimizing halide perovskite solar cells. In his talk, he will show a series of multimodal microscopy techniques that seek to unveil micro- and nano-scale connections between luminescence (performance), structural and chemical properties of these materials in devices. He will summarise how these findings inform our current understanding of carrier recombination, diffusion, and degradation mechanisms on the micro-scale, and outline strategies to further improve performance and stability.
