Luminosa Virtual Show Day

Online Demonstration on how our new microscope Luminosa pairs highest data quality with remarkably simple day-to-day operation

Registration is open for our first Luminosa Virtual Show Day, taking place June 1 and 2, 2023. Discover the potential of time-resolved confocal microscopy, and experience how Luminosa, our new single photon counting confocal microscope, will take your research to the next level – from purified proteins in solution to multiplexing of biomarkers in tissues. Get a taste for how quantitative measurements such as rapidFLIM, FLIM-FRET, smFRET and FC(C)S can be remarkably simple and precisely yours with the right microscope. Let Luminosa guide you through your experiments allowing you to focus on the underlying biological questions.

Speakers: Dr. Valentin Reiter-Scherer and Dr. Olaf Schulz, PicoQuant

PicoQuant Donates 5000 EUR to Berliner Tafel e.V.

The donation included contributions from the company and PicoQuant employees

PicoQuant donated 5000 EUR to the Berliner Tafel e.V. charity. The organization works to combat hunger and poverty in Berlin, providing food and support to those in need. Frederik Siegmann, Head of Marketing of PicoQuant, presented the symbolic check to Nina Güntzel, a representative of the organization, on March 16. The donation was a combination of contributions from the company and private donations from PicoQuant employees, demonstrating the team's dedication to giving back to their local community. As part of their commitment to social responsibility, PicoQuant supports various social, educational, and environmental projects throughout the year. This recent donation will help the Berliner Tafel e.V. continue its crucial work in supporting vulnerable members of the community.

Three Winners of the SPIE BiOS Young Investigator Award

PicoQuant sponsors a prize worth 750 USD

The winners of the Young Investigator Award 2023 are Marina Santana Vega, University of Glasgow (UK), for her talk on "A new platform for single molecule measurements using the fluorous effect", Gur Lubin, Weizmann Institute of Science (Israel), for his talk on "Heralded spectroscopy: a new single-particle probe for nanocrystal photophysics", and Adam Bowman, Stanford University (USA), for his talk on "Electro-optic fluorescence lifetime microscopy (EO-FLIM) of single molecules and neurons".

Congratulations!

The BiOS symposium that is part of SPIE Photonics West, North America's largest photonics event, was held 28 January to 2 February 2023 in San Francisco, California, USA. Every year, PicoQuant co-organizes the special conference "Single Molecule Spectroscopy and Superresolution Imaging" within the BiOS symposium and sponsors the "Young Investigator Award" worth 750 USD.
