Description of the "Intensity TimeTrace with Sample Changer" script
Short explanation of operation:
The script measures a Intensity time trace for every of the four positions of the FluoTime sample changer.
It measures all four positions with a given integration time, one after the other, waits a specified time and
measures all samples again. The script records a Intensity time trace for every sample and save them to workspace at end.
Hardware prerequisites:
FluoTime with
- Light source
- Automated sample changer
- DETECTOR_1 (used for measurement)
Note: It is possible to use use DETECTOR_2 for the measurement.
Replace all occurrences of DETECTOR_1 in the script by DETECTOR_2
Software prerequisites:
EasyTau Version > 2.2
Prior running the script
Please adapt the script to your needs
Please set manually:
- Emission monochromator exit port to deliver light to DETECTOR_1
- Emission monochromator slit width / bandwidth to define the detection bandpass
- Emission polarizer
- Electrical switches (if exist) to deliver electrical signal from DETECTOR_1 to TCSPC electronics
- light source settings: repetition frequency, intensity
- Excitation monochromator wavelength, and bandpass
- TCSPC electronics for measurement
Values to adjust in the script:
- Sample: Sample name for workspace
- Solvent: Solvent name for workspace
- Container: Name for the File to be saved
- MeasTime: Measurement time for every point in the TimeTrace
- TimeStep: time distance between two measurements of the same sample
- NumMeas: Number of measurements to be done (equals the number of points in the resulting time traces)
